NOTE: You should hear the character breathing, otherwise your volume too low to get the full experience. :)

A (very) short story about the man with gephyrophobia (the fear of bridges and tunnels) and a slight problem with certain tranquilizers.

This game was made for the SIM Gamejam '24 with the theme: "Side effects".

This is my first  project made in Godot 4.2 and I am looking forward to seeing the  3D compatibility renderer receiving updates!

  1. Sprinting and witnessing unknown events rapidly increases your heart rate
  2. The more Xanax you take, the more resistance you build up

Controls:

Amazing!  (I played this a while ago but wasn't able to get the video out till now)

I really loved the environment and atmosphere, even after replaying it a couple times, all the sounds still got me.  Nice work!

If video doesn't work, here is the link

Thank you for playing! It was fun to watch the video! Good to see the game gave you some spooks :)

That  game is really good! The sounds and then the red light effects really scared me. Please make a bigger version of the game when the GameJam is finished because it definitely has potential!

Thank you so much! I'm glad to hear that, makes me smile. :) Thank you for the suggestion, I might do that. Great to hear there is interest in a bigger version!

Unplayable across multiple browsers for me. I get the error message discussed here: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/76924109/error-the-following-features-requir...

Someone also proposed a solution. To what extent it's true is outside my ability to tell.

Sorry to hear that! I have enabled SharedArrayBuffer in the project. Itch says the feature is experimental. That might be the problem. Are you able to try the game on a different device?  It's the only solution I can think of.

No. I do not unfortunately...

Hey, me from before. I figured out a potential root cause behind this somewhat common issue.

Apparently attempting to access godot based browser games directly through a game collection somehow fails to detect those features.

Running your game or any other game for that matter outside collections effectively circumvents the issue. Someone at itch.io HQ should have a look at that.
